Man glaubt es kaum. Auf dem Kontinent, auf dem sich das Christentum entwickelt hat, werden heute ganz offen Christen diskriminiert. Im Beruf abgestraft, wenn sie sich zu ihrem Christentum bekennen; Kirchen werden abgefackelt, Weihnachtskrippen (sogar in Italien, dem Land des Papstes) zerstört. Christen, die die Bibel zitieren, der Hassrede (Hatespeech) bezichtigt, angeklagt (vgl. Finnland), etc.
Auf ihrer Webseite beschreibt die OIDAC Europe (Wien) ihre Ziele wie folgt:
Erforschung, Analyse, Dokumentation und Berichterstattung über Fälle von Intoleranz und Diskriminierung gegenüber Christen und christlichen Institutionen in Europa;
Bereitstellung verlässlicher und objektiver Daten für Öffentlichkeit, Gesetzgeber und internationale Institutionen

Zitat: In the night of Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, July 21, vandals defaced the façade of the church of Saint-Paul in Orne, France, with satanist graffiti. The tags included inverted crosses, pentagrams, and writings such as ‘False God’, ‘Liar’, and the number ‘666’, symbolising the devil. The statues on the façade were also sprayed with red paint, adding to the seriousness of the damage.
Marie Gobert, deputy mayor of Saint-Paul, expressed her shock at this unprecedented act. „This is the first time something like this has happened in the commune,“ she said and stressed that the discovery of these tags has had a profound effect on the residents: „We know what they mean; it’s frightening.“
„We are all turned upside down,“ a parishioner shared. „It’s very unpleasant when you know the meaning of the signs that are painted. All these symbols are not funny. We wonder who can do that.“
